Hey iftibashir, I finally got my 1730 after my long 8 months decision process. I haven't visited this site for a long time and I haven't been keeping track at all with the forums, so basically I'm a noob again. I posted for help on the 1730 owners lounge and also on the main forums and I didn't get a reply n two days, so I was wondering if you could help me answer my questions as I know your the 1730 expert! Thank you, appreciate it!

Here is my system specs: 2.8 ghz extreme core 2 duo + dual x2 SLI 8800 gtx cards, windows vista ultimate 32 bit operating system.

    1. I have Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit version, and I was wondering how I would be able to change to the 64 bit version.

    2. Which operating system is best for gaming, regular vista, vista ultimate 32 bits or vista ultimate 64 bit.

    3. I play a lot of Age of Conan and when I tried playing, got a msging saying I had to update to service pack 1 in order to run the game the best. How do I upgrade my service pack 1 from the automatic updates on my computer? It doesn't show me that the update is available, how do I get it?

    4. Also when I started to play age of conan, it gave me this msg before the game booted: "you appear to be using an outdated video driver that may behave unstably with our game. It is highly recommened you update your video drivers to at lease verson nVidia Display Driver Forceware release 169.21 or later."

The current driver that came with the computer is 7.15.11.6755, which video driver update sholuld I downlaod for the best gaming experiance and where can I downlaod it?

    5. And can someone refresh my mind on how to install new videocard drivers? Do I seperately install videocard drivers for each card or does the system automatically installs on both my video cards when I'm installing the driver?

To install new drivers, can someone double check the the steps here --> A. uninstall current drivers from the control panel B. Restart the compuer C. After reboot, install new drivers D. Restart again... <---- is this how to install new drivers?

    6. I read a while back of someone hitting a high score of 15,000+ with 3dmark 06 with overclocked cpu. Which video driver did this person you? anyone know?

    7. Is the best video drivers from that laptop2go webpage?

    8. How do I check if I'm running both video cards in sli cmpared to running just one videocard. Back when I turned on my compujter their was a small nvidia icon on the lower right hand corner of my screen on my so I clicked it and it went to a sli configuration screen, but not I can't find that screen where it shows the stats of my viedo card. Do I have to look in the bios to make sure im running both cards?

    9. And finally, how are you guys finding the 174.xx driver on the offical dell.com webpage? The latest driver I see available to download is the 167.55 driver.

Thanks for reading and taking the time to read my thread, please feel free to reply, would greatly appreciate it.

    just quick answers..

    1) either u Call dell up and request x64 CDs, or ask a friend for his x64 CD, or pay some $ to get it from microsoft.

    2) i woudl say anything with Vista 32bit... 64bit might not be ready for gaming yet

    3) to to ur windows update, on the left, 'check updates' to force it to check for updates
