well dell releases new coupons at midnight on thurs every week or new deals or "packages" ...

my new deal came from a resolution specialist.. i have the 325 coupon i can use right now, i then get acredit of 300$ once it ships as long as my order is over 1300$ total after the 325 coupon plus once i place the order i call him personally at his extension and he will upgrade the screen to the 1680 at no charge over the 1440 one.. so it all comes out to for a black 1520:

    t7500
    2gb ram
    160gb 7200rpm
    built in bluetooth
    built in web cam
    8600gt
    wxsga+ 1680
6 cell an 9 cell battery
    vista premium
    intel n wireless card
    cd/dvd writer
    no added software
total comes to 1087.41 after taxes

Well, it's only fair that they compensate you for all the stress (not to mention the fact that after having to deal with one clown after another, you've probably developed a distinct grayish tint to your hair - of which there is now appreciably less, I'm sure).

So coupons being released midnight Thursday?

BTW, I myself am not entirely satisfied with my 1500. Key issues: size/weight (unexpectedly large and heavy), backlight bleeding, and insufficient resolution on my display.

I'm now thinking of ordering a 1400 with WXGA+ (vs. WXGA that I currently have on my 1500). Do you think this will remedy most of these issues?

Well did your man at Dell specifically place a time limit on his offer? If not, it's probably worth waiting a li'l bit, just in case...

Ah I see what you mean... $325 coupon expires midnight tomorrow. Well, as it stands you're getting a sweet deal on the Inspiron. How much sweeter could it possibly get? And judging by all them folks waiting in line for those laptops, it may just be best pull the trigger... what say ye?

Well I've yet to get my 1700 but I'm worried about it being too big... so just remember to take size into factor.

    As for color... white?

And why would you go back to an inspiron even though you've returned your vostros? They're all the same laptop, basically.

Well my view would be that if you never intend to lug your laptop around with you, then 1720. Otherwise 1520.

As far as resolution and color go, I guess they're both a matter of preference...

Have you seen any pics of the WSXGA+ on the 1500 or 1520? Are ppl generally happy with the screen quality?
