i checked the status for my i9300 laptop and it says its still in production -.-'
its been in production for almost 4-5 days. none of the bottom words are in blue (such as building...) does that mean they are in back order or something? :(

My 6000 was like that, don't worry. It kitted for about 3 days before moving on.

yeah it does take awhile, especially if you have parts that they are low on. If it hasn't moved by Tues or Wed of next week, I would call and see what is going on.

The same thing is happening to my i9300. I ordered it on the same day that you did. So far, nothing has changed in regards to the status. I was expecting the estimated shipping date to become sooner after all the things I've read about Dell's shipping. I guess I can only wait to see what happens.

I ordered a 9300 on the 26th, and on the website it still says "in production."
On the phone, I'm told it's in the build stage. But the build stage is grayed out on the web page.
And the same digital chick telling me it's in the build stage is "Julie", the virtual travel advisor at Amtrak. So do you really think I am going to get an accurate schedule of where my laptop is??? LOL

from my experience and from what i've heard, the phone is more accurate than the website. You would think that the web would be.

I guess they may be backlogged due to the 40% and EPP coupons??? The last two computers over the last three years (desktops) took only three days max to be delivered. Hmmmmmmmm.....

You think waiting on one to built is bad? Ha! I ordered a refurb Thursday morning, UPS has had the shipping info/tracking number since Friday, and it's still sitting in Dell's warehouse, apparently! UPS tracking info still shows no pick up. Arggghh!!!

I emailed Customer Service. They're giving me free 256 MB USB key, and my system is scheduled for delivery today. I don't know why the Dell and UPS tracking systems aren't showing any info tho--it doesn't do any good if it doesn't show when it's out for delivery 'cuz I have to be here to sign for it!

eek yeah, i hope mine gets here, it's not showing anything either... and if things get delayed then things could get dirty... I'm leaving the country for a year on august 18th, also the latest possible day it is scheduled to arrive. maybe i'll call for info...

and speak of the devil, the status page change... they removed all the specifics and simplified it to

(check) Order Processing: Saturday, July 30, 2005
    Order Sent to Warehouse:
Estimated Ship Date: Thursday, August 11, 2005

    well that sucks...

I never heard of Sent to Warehouse in the order status. Just InProduction (Kitting, build, testing and boxing), Shipping Prep and Estimated Ship date.

Wow, this is wierd. I ordered an XPS on the 28th, and I am having the same issue. It's been in the "in production" phase ever since!! And they didn't even reply back to my email!!! So far, the estimated ship date is the 9th, but at this rate, I don't even see that happening!!! Really now, with how quick things change in the computer world, the month it is taking to ship it can pretty much mean the difference of a top of the line computer, or a mid-range one!! Ok, maybe I exaggerated a LITTLE, but you get the idea.

    Grrrrr

My I9300 has been stuck on boxing for 3 days already. I mean how long does Dell need to box the laptop? I'm sure in doesn't take over 3 days. I wish Dell would just ship my laptop already.

Boxing 3 days really means your laptop is being shipped from Malaysia or wherever they built Dell laptops (they don't build them in US). When it says shipped, it means it is here in US and ready to ship to you via UPS or FedEx.

I am waiting for mine too. I ordered it on 7/31 and still no status other than In Production. I called yesterday and complained so they gave me overnight shipping free of charge which is nice. My schedule ship date is the 11th so hopefully it will ship soon.

Well, I just went off the military site. But I've got a 100gb hard drive, bluetooth, and DVD burner. $1,635 shipped. Not to shabby!!

But I got a response back for my email. They are giving me free next day shipping, and since it came with a free printer, they are upgrading it to the 922 printer. I don't have a scanner, so works for me I guess!! Now if only I could get past the "build" stage

Mine finally went to "Testing". That means it is another 3 days for boxing and it will be here. Can't wait. I had the 9300 with 128 video card but decided to get the 256 instead. I hope it is worth it.

shootingstar: I placed my order for my 6000 on the 30th. On the fourth day of the "in production stage" (3rd day on boxing) I received my new shipping date/tracking # from ups. At first UPS gave a late delivery date, but it seems Dell upgraded the shipping as it says "rescheduled" delivery on UPS and I will be receiving it 3 days earlier. So now the delivery date on the UPS website is the 8th. Tonight you would most likely recieve your information, if its been the 4th day on boxing..at least from what ive heard and my own experiences.

haha everybody ordered about the same time so they are all probably going to get it the same time. boxing like everyone said will most likely take 3-4 days and then the shipping 3-5 days. hopefully dell upgraded the shipping so we get them earlier

I just checked the location of my laptop and I am soooo excited!! It says that the notebook arrived in my hometown of NY,NY at 6:30 a.m. Does anyone know if UPS delivers on weekends?

I mean the package is so close, probably twenty minutes away from my apartment. The weird thing is that my free printer's status places it in Tennessee. I guess the packages aren't shipped at the same time. I can't wait for my laptop to get here!!

um...i believe ups works on saturdays but sundays i am not sure. i heard some people received it on sundays tho, but i cant confirm on different locations.

i think you might still have some time to wait. the billing information received that means they just probably charged for your computer. if you check your credit card or w/e you can probably see that it just has been charged. it'll probably take 2-5 days if you're lucky 2 days.

Mine's on the way, should be here tomorrow. They turned it over to the shippers on Saturday and its in their system and in transit right now. I got next day shipping free because I called Dell and complained about the slow build/delivery. I ordered on the 26th, almost a 2 week wait, but it's well worth it!

Mine shipped last night via. purolator. The tracker picked it up today but wasn't very helpful 'In Transit in US.'

With no expected delivery date or shipping method confirmation I'm worried that I might have to wait another week. :(

Well, mine did the same thing. Went to "in transit" on Saturday, and still no tracking number. I have tomorrow (or today I guess) off, so it would be nice to get it today. I got free next day shipping, but I highly doubt I will be getting it today. I hope if it comes tuesday, I am not at work at the time!!
