    inspiron 1420 S video cable help!!

    how does this work if i want to watch movies from my laptop on the TV? Does an S video output come standard on all insprinon 1420s? how does the picture look?

    an s-video cable does not come standard with the 1420. U have to buy it sepertely, but it only shows a picture on the TV, the sound still comes from the laptop. Go to the link below for more help:

    640k does the picture from the laptop on the TV look clear and crisp or look blurry?

    To tell you the truth, I haven't bought one yet, but plan on soon. Everyone has reported that the picture is at least acceptable. I haven't heard of any of the typical nvidia tv out problems (yet) and the component output is capable of at least 1080i.
