My first post re my 1501 not booting got me enough help to read the result of the diagnostic check, - left and centre lights flashing and right light on solid- a fault on the Radeon GPU, can this part be replaced, it appears to be stuck to the MB by a red adhesive. Is it in a socket on the MB or is it surface mount. If it can be replaced how do I remove it and where can I get a replacement?

    The markings are Radeon RS485M
    216MSA4ALA12FG
    P18514.00
    0651SSP

It's soldered to the motherboard. You've got to replace the motherboard to replace the GPU. 1501 motherboards seem to be going for around $150; I dunno if it's worth replacing...
