    i just got my second inspiron 1520 ,,,,sent the outlet first one back 2 week ago ,,withiin the 21 days...and this one had the same problem as the first..would not boot from the battery....i thought..god , what is going on..

    this was the problem.....they sent the notebook from outlet store with sata settings set as ahci,,,,when i set changed my sata setting from ahci to sata, and disabled the cache in the diagnostic program,,,problem solved..

    sata setting in the sata drive settings was not correctly configured before they sent this to me,,and probably was the problem with the first one i got 3 weeks ago

    thought i would pass this on,,so others might check their settings if having problems.
