    inspiron 1520 screen stays on when lid is closed

    i just installed xp on my 1520 and i changed the setting so that it would do nothing when i close the lid. i had this same setting when i was on vista but when i was on vista the screen goes off when i close it(which is what i want). now it just stays on as if it were open. how do i fix this?

    Try changing the setting to standby.
