    Hi All,
When the power button is pressed, the power led light will turn on for only about 2-3 seconds, then the machine shuts down again. I've tried removing the battery and unplugging the adapter, pressing the power button for about 20 seconds, then plugging the adapter again. I also tried it with the battery only, with the adapter only or with both, they all behaved the same way. When the adapter is plugged in the battery led light will flash once before it shuts down. The night before this happened we closed the lid while one browser window was running. So I was wondering if it is possible that the motherboard is fried because of overheating. I also tried taking both memory chips out and putting back. No change.

We bought the machine 2 years ago and did not really use it much. Any input is highly appreciated.
