inspiron 1521 problem

has anyone had a problem with this laptop? i have no clue what happened to mine i turned it on this morning and it said something about media direct then the screen went blue i cant do anything! does anyone know what could have happened?

i did contact dell through chat on another computer and they made me reboot through safemode or something but it said my system was shut down to prevent damage. then they said it was the motherboard? i dont know much about computers. did it get a virus or what causes the motherboard problem?

 

It's off now, right? If not, you can just hold down the power button until it turns off.

Then, what happens when you press the power button?

How about the Media Direct button?

If you can't get it to start up, you should probably back up any data you need off of there.

 

its starts off fine like the dell logo then the media direct comes on it says "dell media direct files" which idk why it does that, it was so random. then the screen just turns blue thats it i cant do anything else it wont allow me to.

if i click the media direct button it does nothing. like i said i have no clue why this happened, the rep told me they will replace the motherboard, but i dont even know how i messed anything up.

 

Well, it's great if they replace the motherboard. I hope it fixes the problem.
