I am quite frustrated at the moment. I really like the look of the laptop but in the same time it's the second that I replace in 1 week because the first one had some white marks on the plastic.

Now with this one, no white marks but the fan is starting sometimes even when being on idle which is kind of weird...

Also 2 times already when I tried to open for example, uninstall a software, then I suddenly get the loading icon and then nothing...the process is not responding and then I have to close it.

How can it be possible? I was expecting a bit more from Dell...

Am I this lucky or is there somebody else out here with issues with the Inspiron 1564?

Please guys I need some advice regarding this issue.

1st- you should download the latest BIOS drivers from dell's page to see if it corrects the Fan issue.
2nd- Reinstall your OS via the provided disk, do not restore. (this is a last resort thing) this will eliminate glitches from the the factory install they put on laptops and you get rid of bloatware

    Thank you.

The lateste bios update was in March and there were still people complaining about the same issue after that month so I think they need to release a new update for bios which is actually quite late considering all the issues that customers have with the fan...
