hello. im an avarage gamer with i will say low budget willing to buy a descent laptop for games like Lineage2 ,League of legends , warcraft etc.

firstly i laid my eyes on sony vaio for 680 pounds with absolute same specs as inspiron 15r has:
    Intel® CoreTM i5-480M Processor (3M Cache, 2.66 GHz)
    4096MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048]
1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650
except for hdd vaio had 7200rpm/dell 5400 (the difference was 50 pounds)
after searching lots and lots on netbookcheck.net i found out that vaio has a good cooling engine and it doesnt overheat. but unfortunately sony is downclocking radeon 5650 to 450 mhz.
i couldnt find much about dell inspiron 15r if it overheats or not. and i couldnt find if dell is downclocking radeon aswell.
maybe somebody knows if inspiron 15r is overheating and do dell downclock radeon 5650 aswell?

unfortunately, my inspiron 15r radeon 5650 overheats with crysis 2 and farcry. gpu temp is above 107°C... the inspiron does not seem to have a fan for the gpu. Maybe I can downclock the gpu, do you know how?
my wife has an expensive vaio which has excellent cooling although she hardly stresses her laptop.
Personally, I wouldn't buy the inspiro again especially if there is a sony of better quality similar specs and similar price.
