    hi,
since 2 days my CD/DVD will no more read any thing. In the control panel I have the yellow icon with the exclamation mark and the message Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware. It could be missing.
The driver isn't missing, I just dowloaded the last one.
When I try to install it, I get a message "No matched driver detected."
Under the list "My computer" the driver does not appear.
Someone has an idea hoe to proceed to fix this abnormality?

The day when this problem occurs I just uninstall I-tunes. In my opinion this has no effect with the present problem, but who knows?

    Thanks for you answer

    Michel

Have you looked through Device Manager to re-enable it?

yes, I did. First of all I disabled it, shut down my computer and re-enabled it. But no change has been.

today I did a great discovery. When the problem occurs, I didn't pay attention to the fact that I removed i-tunes. Today I thought: let's reinstall it and let see if it works. And it did.
So I can assert that I-tunes is responsible for this bug. Conclusion: be careful when you uninstall i-tunes, don't accept to erase even the unused stuff . . .

That's weird. I heard of issues where the CD/DVD drive is disabled (or becomes unreadable) if you install itunes not the opposite !
