I have inspiron 9300 I bought used 1 year ago on ebay. It didnt come with any warranty. I wanted to know if I can renew the warranty from dell? And, how much would it cost me? Once they give me the warranty and something wrong happens to it and they cant fix it will they give me another laptop like m1730?

No, you have to renew your warranty before it expires or shortly thereafter.

You can puechase a warranty, you can't renew it as it never came with one, also you want to make sure the system is under your name or they will not help you at all as you mentioned you bought it off of E-bay, also they will replace your system depending on the type of damage and warranty you have. You can also refer to Support.dell.com for waranty info.

What if the video card or motherboard doesnt work, and I have the Next Business Day Onsite Plus Nights and Weekends till 12/22/2009 -- 2 year(s) [Included in Price] and the Complete Care till 12/22/2009 -- 2 year(s) and they dont have the spare parts for these. Will they give me m1730 instead?

They keep enough refurbed parts for a while. They will likely give you the Inspiron equivalent.

When you say inspiron equivalent you mean I will get a studio line 17 laptop?

The only way to replace with an xps m1730 is that I have to have an xps gen2, m170, or m1710right?

That is all true except if they don't have the part right then they just simply tell you to wait for it as it would probably be back ordered, kind of rare but does happen. They only give you a new system if you have three major parts (MOBO, Graphics, Memory, Etc.) replaced within thirty days. As well if they happen to do a system exchange they will give you like or better, meaning if the laptop you currently have is no longer shipping they will give you the next model up that is available for shipping, but in the same line of systems.
Also the Next day warranty supports hardware failure not accidental failure, the complete care warranty covers all accidental damage except for acts of nature.
