Hi Guys,
I've got a problem with my Dell Inspiron M5110. I've replaced the default wireless card with the Intel 6230 because the default card doesn't support 802.11n 5Ghz.
When I start my laptop the screen stays blank (not even the Dell logo). Don't know if Dell whitelists his hardware but it looks like a BIOS problem.
Is there any way to fix this problem?

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Uhh was it installed correctly? Dell does not whitelist WLAN cards, I've swapped in tons of aftermarket WLAN cards. Does it boot up if you remove the card?

I am sure It is installed correctly, when I remove the card it boots normally.
With the card inserted the fan starts spinning but no beeps or anything on the screen.
I will test the card in an other system to see if it isnt broken. -
Oke I've test the card in an other laptop and it works smoothly. That other system had a Intel 6200 card, installed that one in my Dell and no problems at all. Too bad the 6200 card doesn't have bluetooth combo, but at least I have 2 laptops working. Can live without bluetooth.
There must be some kind of BIOS conflict between the Dell Inspiron M5110 and the Intel 6230 wireless card but both laptops lived happily ever after....
