I've tried two different cards. both of them turn on radio is just a grey text option. running windows xp. when I try to use windows to manage it instead of th utility, it just says they are out of range. no, there isn't a switch or button. there is an fn key which does nothing. I have looked at similar problems where it turned out to be windows power saving and I disabled something somewhere so windows can't turn it off, but to no avail. any help?

Not sure about this specific model, but have you checked in the BIOS as there is sometimes a setting in there to link the wireless operation to the wireless button on the keyboard?
