    Hi have a doubt. Is Inspiron e1405 and 640m the same? I decided to buy 640m a few days back. But, 640m was ranked 30+ here at notebookreview.com. So, i was having a second thought. But, it looks like e1405 and 640m are the same. The reviews given here relates these two notebooks. Plz clarify...

    I moved your thread to the Dell forum since it deals with Dell notebooks only.

    Yes, they are the same; the E1405 is the consumer version, and the 640M business. Only the naming is different from what I know.

    Also, the 640m comes with Windows Home as default OS, whereas the E1405 comes with Windows Media Edition.
