When i am typing for an Ex: an e-mail, a paper, or writing on forums, out of no where i think it's around the ERTYU keys it would jump couple of words back from where i typed already and i ended up typing between where it jump, Is my keyboard messed up? I cleaned it but it is still jumping back and messing up what i wrote.. Does this make sense?? trying to explain it the best way i can.

    I have an inspiron 6000

    Is your touchpad enabled?
Are you sure you're not hitting the touchpad by accident when you're typing?
I know this may sound stupid but I did it a lot at first when I got my laptop.

That's the only thing I can think of since it was my problem.

I would do a thorough virus/trojan/spyware scan. You might also want to check your registry and repair any errors found. There are a few good registry cleaners out there - I like Registry Mechanic.

Did you install all of the necessary Dell drivers after you reinstalled? Did you follow the reinstall guide on this forum?

What happened with this thread - did you figure out your keyboard problem? I have exactly the same issue, also mostly with the e key. I'm not hitting the touchpad (I'll be more aware of this in the future). I always end up back in the same place when it happens.

I'd like to know if you solved your issue.
