    hi...
i am new to this forum...i just bought inspiron 5110 which is great, but i have noticed that the battery wiggles a a bit vertically, and you notice it when you place it in your lap etc, its annoying...i know it can be fixed with a piece of paper etc...but my question to those who own this particular model...is this normal on this particular model ? please report your experience....

    thanks.

    Hi ,
My name is Amar, I work for Social Media and Community Team at Dell,

With regards to your concern as I understand that you are having problem with the battery being loose,

    • Inspirion 5110 does not have any such known issues
    • Instead of using a piece of paper You can try Reseating the battery (Maybe the battery latch is not seated properly)
    • Please try the above mentioned steps which should fix the problem ,Do revert in case of any further concern.

    Thanks & Regards

    thanks for your post...
i think the latches are perfectly normally seated, nothing wrong over there...still the battery is kinda loose and its annoying...what should i do ? and what solution do you recommend ? and i have talked to atleast one other person who has n5110 who also observes that the battery is a bit loose...

should i go back to the shop ? its been like only one week since i bought it...

    regards.

    Hi cancerian123 ,

Thank you for your reply ,If you are still facing the same issue you can defiantly contact the vendor and get it rectified, since the system is not designed to work in such a way.
