hi, i just buy a new dell inspiron 14 a few weeks ago. i'm planning to upgrade my ram to 4gb.(i have already have 2gb). when i look at the back of the laptop, the is no sticker saying "warranty void when sticker torn" or something like that. my old acer laptop have that sticker. my question is, if i open the back of the laptop,(something with the screw) to install new RAM, or replace the hard disk, does this will void my warranty?or i hve to wait the warranty to expire then i can upgrade my hardware? please help.!!

No, upgrading parts like RAM/HDD will not void the warranty UNLESS it is done wrong. Also Dell will not honor its warranty on the replaced parts.

Yes. Any 2.5" 9mm SATA drive will work in your Inspiron 14.
