it could just be me, but i failed to install COD 1 about 10 times on my brand new 6000 when i first got it. the problem occured when i had to put in the second disc. i currently have it installed but i was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem, and if anyone knows what the cause is.

You may want to verify that your Secondary IDE Channel is set for DMA Transfer Mode. Sometimes a scratched or dirty CD can kick the drive to PIO mode. When this happens, I have had problems installing some apps.

You can check this in Device Manager ---> IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers ---> right click and choose Properties for: Secondary IDE channel ---> Advanced Settings tab ---> Transfer Mode

    Just a thought.
