i have two intel turbo memory modules and tried to compare their speed with HDTune: one could reach max 326 MB/s while the other could only get max 37MB/s, both are made in China with same revision A00. anybody there has ever tried to use HDTune to test and compare your turbo memory speed?

Here is mine

after a few tests, i notice the max speed fluctuates a bit from 260~326 for one module, but the other module is alway about 37MB/s max.
-
do you have them both installed at once?
-
can't install both at same time.
-
k, thats what i thought, but i was just making sure. that does seem really weird tho about the speeds...
-
i have 37 MB/s too. did u tweak anyhting to get it to run that fast? and is the speed difference noticable in real life?
-
what slot does the turbo memory go into?
-
miniPCI-E.
-
and you have to have a laptop with the santa rosa chipset

Also, are you using the same drivers? I know there was an updated Intel Turbo Memory driver that was recently released claiming better performance....
EDIT: I guess my response wasn't well thought out - op said he tried 2 different cards in the same system, right? -
same newest driver, same system, same OS...

I heard intel turbo memory is a waste. "In some cases decreased performance of the pc" - some article... lol. They say you can pick up a flash drive and do the same thing the intel turbo memory does... are they referring to memoryboost or w/e it's called?
-
not exactly, 512 mb is used for ready boost, that is what you are thinking of, but the other 512 mb is used to help the computer start up faster. And its installed in your computer permanently so if you go wireless you dont need to have a usb stick sticking out the back of your computer. Also, the speed is faster than a usb stick.
Vista sp1 should make the turbo memory much better and more worth it. -
4GB USB drive is only about 9.7MB/s from my test.
-
You read misleading info by people who installed the driver wrong. They did review it again on later date though.
-
I tested my turbo memory speed using hdtach and got 36.7mb/sec or so, which I believe is what it should be. I'm wondering how that one module benchmarked so high.
