    Hi all!!
I'm having a bit of a dilemma with the intel pro wireless..for the inspiron 1720 with vista. When I set up my wireless it works fine however when i restart it it doesn't pick up the wireless signal which i've set for it in the 'manage wireless networks'.. the only way i can get it to work is by turning the wireless switch off and on again using the switch outside the laptop in the bottom left hand corner..

so does anyone know how to make the wireless card automatically connect without having to turn it off and on again? not that it matters but im just a bit curious about it...

I have the Dell Wireless card, so not sur eI can be of much help.

Are you using the Intel software or letting Windows manage the wireless card. I usually let Windows manage the wireless and that always seems to work for reconnecting.
