After updating the Sigmatel audio drivers, the only thing that some Dell computers still have in conflict with Vista SP1 is the Intel X3100 IGP.

Intel has released updated drivers, however, they won't install on a Dell computer without Dell certification.

Does anyone know when Dell will release current drivers for the X3100?

I'm dying to install SP1 with the correct drivers. I've been reading about alot of horror stories about how computers either got less responsive, slower, or what not with SP1, and I don't want that to happen to mine. =)

Someone once told me how to edit the inf of a driver file so you could install drivers that weren't specifically meant for your OEM model. I forget exactly how it was done.

This might be a similar procedure though.
