My M1530 laptop is giving me a huge headache after only a month of owning it. Randomly since last night I am getting an error message before login "interactive logon initialization process has failed" I can not logon, and tried booting it in safe mode but still get the same error message. I also tried to do a system restore to an earlier date but it still did not work. The dell tech support has been extremely unhelpful. They made me run a memory test for exactly an hour aftger which they said the only solution is to do a clean install of vista. I also have lot of files which I did not back up. I dont mind reinstalling it if i can save my files. I am just dissapointed with this machine only after a month. I've searched the web for solutions but have only seen others complaining of the same problem on their dell laptop.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can solve this problem?
