    HI all,
My 1420 has usually performed OK. In the last couple of weeks my screen will turn into what looks like a digital puzzle. Then goes out completely , turns bluish/ black and cannot get any image. Re-booting doesnt help. The screen will come back eventually. Contacted Dell chat today and they want to send a tech to replace lcd. As soon as I got off, the screen was fine again Will the tech still replace the screen if it`s working when he gets here? Thanks for listening.

They've already dispatched the technician, and he will do what Dell is paying him to do; replace your LCD panel.
