This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    i still remember posting here to recommend someone with the creative audigy MB on dell xps 1210

    and now my dont work! it says 'the audio device supoorted by this application was not detected: the application will exit'

    But the sound still works, the surround mixer works is well....
    .....dam.......

    any idea..... dont wanna reformat my lappy.....

    You might try updating/reinstalling your Sigmatel drivers.

    If you arnt using one of the audio drivers the creative software is "sanctioned", you can't use it. Alot of people find this out when they have the creative software, but after reinstalling they download newer drivers from elsewhere on the web, and the creative program thinks you trying to run it on another laptop.
