    is echo indigo compatible with e1705? any soundcard advice?

    dont know if echo indigo soundcard is compatible with e1705 with regards to ports that it will be attached...if not then what is the best soundcard for my e1705? pls help!! thnk u very much!!

    I won't work with your E1705 as your E1705 has only an expresscard slot. The Echo Indigo card is a PCMCIA cart and won't fit in the newer expresscard slots. There currently exist no expresscard soundcards on the market. Your best bet is to try something via USB as there are issues (search for thread here on NBR) with firewire soundcards and Dell notebooks.

    well i guess il have to buy m audio transit as there is not much available soundcard for my e1705...btw, is this transit better for anyone who has used this? tnks

    I own a M-Audio Transit. I'd classify it as a "semi-pro" card. It is certainly adequate for all of my mobile sound needs. The Echo Indigo card is a professional card and unless you specifically need a professional card for recording, the Transit will be more than adequate for music playback.
