    You can still get XP if you purchase one of the Latitude or Precision laptops from them. All the Inspiron models have been switched over to Vista with no XP options.

    no, i haven't. i talk to salespersons the least i need to. i guess i should rephrase the question to "has anybody had any experience with getting a just phased out OS when a new one just came out?"

    THe only way I know of getting XP with a notebook is by getting it from delloutlet
