does anyone know if dell is going to allow the option of dedicated video cards for the dell inspiron 1525? i know dell wants to keep the dedicated video cards options for the xps lines, but i think it's really foolish to not allow it in the new dell inspiron. i really like the design and i would jump on it in any second if dedicated video card options were availabe. so does anyone know if that's going to happen and if so, when?

I can MAYBE see Dell offering an 128 8400gs. But I dont think they will offer anything much more then that.
-
Never. But I'm just speculating based off everything Dell has shown as of this moment.
-
Why shouldn't they? There are budget gamers (like me) and they need to get a sleek good looking laptop with a nice GPU for a good price. They should deff put a 8600M in there.

I've already looked at a dissected 1525, no way in hell their gonna get one in there. Unless they integrate it onto the motherboard.
To do that they'll have to do a new cooling system. Which will likely result in a redesign of the interior layout..
Won't happen. Defeats the purpose of 'a budget multimedia consumer computer'.
Maybe a stripped down 8400, never a 8600. -
Never. Want a cheap 1520? Get a Vostro 1500. Want better graphics? Wait for a killer M1530 deal.

You can still find the 1520 if you look closely on the dell site, under the still looking for windows xp option, and as others have mentioned the heat issues and such and the 1525 baseline only comes with a celeron processor, by the time you get the core 2 duo its about the same price as the 1520 it is a shame though that the case design of the 1525 has a nice look but cant have the power of the 1520
is there going to be dedicated video card available for inspiron 1525, ever?
