I have had my 1520 for about 2.5 weeks and the other day I noticed the top cover is sperating a little from the lcd panel. Has anybody else had this issue? I am thinking about calling dell.

*sorry for the poor quality, I had to use my cellphone.

I don't think that's common.
By all means call Dell. -
did you drop it?
can you push the edges of the lid back down...those are clips that hold them in place. -
nope, have not dropped it. And if you push on the ends it does pop back in however it just pop back out again.
-
did you contact dell about this yet? i have no doubt they would issue a replacement lcd for you.
-
Well I called dell expecting a fight because I was going to do any mail order type of deal. But to may surprise, they are issuing me a full replacement with next day shipping.

Dell is usually really good with this sorta thing, i'm not surprised. It's my main reason for being such a loyal customer.

Mine was a tad loose, well not loose but there was a tiny gap, and I cloud close it by pressing them together. So I popped the rubbers off and tightened the screws, problem solved.
I guess as those machines go rolling down the line thy only got mere seconds to screw everything together.. -
My name is Todd and I'm with Dell's online outreach program. I'm sorry to hear about the problems you had with your new system. Have you received the replacement system yet?

If you do email me please include my first name, Todd, in the subject line of the message and include a reference to this thread if you can.
I'll stop back to see whether there is anything else I can do to help. Again, sorry for the problems with that original system.
Thank you,
