Most likely not, but it's best to clean a screen with microfiber cloth.

Windex is a little too strong of a solution. Use Isopropyl alcohol diluted with some water and wipe with a microfiber cloth.

most places you can buy a very mild non-conductive LCD cleaner. it's not that expensive, lasts a long time. it usually comes with a nice lint-free reusable cloth.

I would never spray windex onto or near my laptop. My old CRT on the other hand, i drowned it in windex :)

There are pictures on the net of lcds getting ruined from windex. water and a microfibre cloth works well.

"water and a microfibre cloth works well."

that should do the trick. make sure you turn the machine off. don't apply too much pressure one a singe spot. be gentle.

There are several more threads where people have managed to damage their screens by using glass cleaners and other strong chemicals. I really don’t understand why some of you need to use these chemicals, what do you have on your screens that cannot be removed with a damp soft cloth

If you must use a something, then get a special LCD cleaning liquid, don’t use anything else (not even those meant for old CRT monitors and TVs)
