    kind spelled title wrong I ordered a 1420 with (2x1)gb of RAM and I wanted to upgrade would this work with it PNY Optima 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Notebook Memory?

    Yes, you got it. I use PNY as well. No problem in over a year with a Macbook and D630 of late.

    you can get cheaper ram, just not pny i think.
    Newegg has some OCZ 2gig sticks for $110 each (plus a $15 mail in rebate)
    and free shipping too

    i'd also check frys

    There are slightly cheaper out there by Patriot, Geil, Supertalent etc that would save you $20- $40
