jet black color difference inspiron vs vostro

i aksed this once before but got no response is there a color difference between the black on the vostro and the inspiron?? all the pics make it look this way like the inspiron is more greyish black and the vostro is actually jet black?? and some here are saying the jet black is a glossy black??? i thought it was a matte finish like the microsatin is or am i wrong?? thanks

 

how did you get such a good deal on that computer

 

lots of aggravation and i ended up thorugh dell escalations/corporate division and being compensated

 

no one can answer this??? is the jet black a satin type finish like the rest of the colors same as the vostro or is it a regular plastic type finish?? thanks

 

I belive it is microsatin paint although not 100% on that but it is a matte finish. I belive the paint used on teh inspirons is the same as on the XPS

I just got my Dell 1520 yesterday. I can say that the Jet Black is a matte finish and not glossy at all. Not sure about the Vostro, sorry.

 

Had the 1520 in black before returning, and the lid is exactly the same as the Vostro. It is a matte finish and both are very nice. Overall build seems more durable on the Vostro, especially the interior casing. Just feels more solid to me.
