    I ordered late July - the 31st. Current ESD is Oct 4, but I expect that to get delayed again. I'm debating whether to cancel now and order from HP or wait. Does anyone know if the supposed hardware delays (processor, LCD, etc.) have impacted HP too?

    I stand corrected, looked at the order status and now delayed again until 9/22. I so seriously want to cancel, but have my heart set on Dell. Does HP offer 2GB for same price?

    Prolly. I think at the time I ordered there was a 75% off discount on the 2gb upgrade which made it about a 25 dollar expense. Try it out.

    I got an HP for my dad 2 weeks ago and it came on Tuesday, three days before my dell that I ordered in July should get here. It was a 6500t that cost about $1000 after their 20% discount.

    Ordered on 7/17/2007 and the current estimated shipping date is 9/10/2007. In Dell lingo that means the real shipping date is 1/21/2008.

    Love the answer I got when telling a "Customer Care" rep. at Dell that this computer will be out dated by the time I get it. He told me then I should cancel my order.

    I ordered on 7/16 and have yet to receive mine. My story is similar to everyone else here. I am getting quite dismayed seeing so many people receiving their orders that ordered AFTER my order date.

    Any one get a their brown 1720 yet? No delays on ones ordered now per the website, but I haven't seen anyone mention receiving brown. Has me worried here.

    I checked this morning and I was in the TESTING stage.... called back a couple of hours later so I could hear "TESTING" again and it said BOXING... so the end is in sight!!!! I feel like crying happy tears... I think when I finally get it imma go to class but take a day off of work...

    Hooray!!! Mine finally shipped as of Sunday. Even have tracking number.
    Only problem is DHL website says that only shipping info has been recieved, even though i have next buisness day shipping. Then come to think about it, have only seen 1 DHL truck in my area last three years. Guess I"ll have to wait till they decide to come around again.
