i've been reading these posts about grainy screens on higher res. my query might sound pretty foolish, but i was wondering if this grainy thing has got something to do with the vista rather than the screens. i mean has nebody noticed the graininess on their screens using the vista first and then trying it out with the xp?

no, the grainyness has nothing at all to do with vista. All screens are grainy if they are not glossy. The resolutions seemed to match the grain at such a degree that it is more noticable to these users.
