After 3 phone calls, and a couple of text chats, here was the best I could do from the Dell CSRs for right at 1600 (includes tax) free 2nd business day shipping. A nice 200GB 7200rpm HD and 4gb of memory should be waiting for her when it arrives :) What do you guys think?

    Thanks guys.

I forgot the exact quote, but it was 17xx.xx, the lady I finally got was really nice, forgot her name, but she said she spoke to 2 different supervisors and that was the best they could do for me, she said there's not much bargaining that can be done right now because of the holidays, they are selling the laptops as is with no negotiation.

What memory do you guys recommend? I have some G-Skill memory in my rig and I love it, I saw 4gb G.skill laptop memory for 100 or so at newegg.

The 9 cell battery IMO throws off the design on the laptop, the 6cell is flush with the system. I can always buy the N card later for the same price :)

True about the N card... the batteries are really expensive later though... the 9 cell helps keep the system cooler I think... and stops it from heating my legs when I have it one my lap.. i love it...

The N card required the multiple antennas.... hopefully not too much of an issue to install later..

Thanks for that info Praneeth, I might just call and change it to a 9cell maybe, I'll play my luck with the N card, but I can see how the 9cell would also angle the laptop more when on a table for a more comfortable typing position..we'll see. Here's the memory I am looking at for the lappy:

I use G.skill memory on my rig, I love it, anyone have this memory on their la ptop?
