Hi, this is the first time i m having a notebook.

i just got my m1330 few days ago, i was trying to do a clean vista install to get rip of those bloat ware, and i finally done .

but i still have some questions related to this notebook:
    1. for somehow the eject button doesn't work :s neither with the Vista installed or in bios. i was wondering if i still missing something.

    2. there are 2 bars in the touchpad, one horizontal other vertical, are they use for scroll pages like a mouse? if so, it not working also..

    any idea?

not sure about the eject button.
yes, the bars are for scrolling, but I'm no sure why they don't work since mine don't work either(that is to say they stopped working about a month ago)
I'd like to know how to get the bars working myself.

use the drivers in the link posted by darthsat, they work.
at least for Win XP, but they should work for vista as well

Use this driver directly from Synaptics: http://www.synaptics.com/decaf/drivers/v9_2_5_Vis32.exe

For whatever reason Dell's newer mouse pad drivers are complete stripped of functions. The Synaptics driver gives you everything.

The Synaptics touchpad on the M1330 is SO much better than the Alps pad on the Vostro 1400 and all Latitudes. Much more responsive.
