I FREAKING LOVE IT! it's gorgeous at 1680X1050 resolution from Dell.
Just got a couple questions. I want to be able to close my laptop and just use a wireless mouse and keyboard, but when i close it, it shuts off the 2nd monitor as well. Anyone know how to fix that? thanks

another problem im having....
does anyone know when i have an opened mozilla web browser, the window is bumping up and down like as if it's bumping to music!
it's really crazy...
does anyone know what it is? -
Try setting the Second monitor as primary when it's hooked up? I am not at my laptop, so that's the only thing I can think off the top of my head.
Also, you have "Close Lid" set to "Do nothing" right? -
ahhhhh ok i found out how to change the close lid settings, it's confusing with vista
that's my excuse.
but now what about this bumping stuff?
thanks -
No idea on that. Last time Firefox jumped around on me it was something embedded/encoded into the page I was viewing. A joke, if you will.
-
hmmmm I'm thinking the same thing as well....

Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
You could install some air bags under your chair....Does this only happen in firefox? If so its most likely a problem with the program itself.
-
Yeap, it only happens with mozilla. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it still does it.
I guess I'll just either put airbags like you said and bump along or... stop using mozilla.
in the meantime I've installed Opera. Works fantastic. -
Hmm, I can't look here at work, but I'll take a gander when I get home tonight and see if I can think of anything.

Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
It doesnt happen to me under a dual LCD desktop vista setup, or with my laptop, though its still running XP. Its got to be a sftware issue, if it was hardware, the whole screen would be doing it, like a continuous auto adjust.
-
thats exactly what I thought too. I just uninstalled mozilla and left it at that...
if anyone have any opinions or comments let me know. -
im starting to suspect it's due to my video card overheating from playing cs source on the 22" monitor. Could this possibly be it?
-
I wouldn't think so, unless something else was wrong (like a fan seated wrong).
Nvidia cards will send out a warning or throttle down if they overheat; if I am not mistaken that is. -
I don't mean overheating to that point. But it does get hot where I'd see the tiles on the floor of de_Dust2 upper basements to be purple and the walls to show rainbow coloring.
I'm sure that's a sign that the card is getting pretty darn hot.
i might be mistakened.
just got my new monitor...
