    everything's going fine and dandy, except for the fact that my battery meter has vanished from the lower right hand side. basically, i have no idea how much battery life i have atm. anyone know how to fix this?

    Right click the task bar >> properties >> notification area >> tick "power" and thats it.

    i tried, but they're all greyed out. the only thing checked is the "clock".
