just a comment on the D430 as well as a question for any experts out there:

i just received my D430 and i love the size, portability, weight, keyboard but have a few SERIOUS issues with it:

    1) even on the power saving mode I'm getting no more than 1.5 hours out of a 6 cell battery just running 1 application like excel! This is insane. Even my D620 used to get 2.5 hrs on a 6 cell running videos and downloading music. Any ideas?

    2) also, within about 10 minutes, the back right side gets so hot you can barely touch it. I thought the U7600 ran cool and efficient. Not the case on my computer

honestly, these are 2 issues that are making me consider returning the computer if I cant figure them out. Even when it's sitting on my desk with no airflow obstruction it gets hot ,so forget about using it in my lap.

Looking forward to any suggestions as to what might be going on here
