I have an e1405 and my U key will ocasionally pop up on the top, so only the bottom part is on. Is there anyway to fix this, or will I have to live with it?

Since you just got your laptop, you can request a new keyboard from Dell's Technical support. This will be covered under warranty.

I guess I will just live with it. I don't feel like dealing with sending my laptop into dell, so I'll send it in later. I was just hoping that there was a way to fix it myself

Yep, they just mail you the keyboard with instructions and keyboard. Once you get the old keyboard out, put it in the box, stick the return label on the box and tape it up. Then call DHL/FedEx/UPS to come and pick it up.
