Would love input on keys and keyboard. Checked out the 1564 ruby red in BB. nice, but I'm not loving the keyboard. Keys are pretty flat and bigger. Could be just a learning curve and I'll get used to it. Feel a little cheap. I don't need the number pad. I'm using a Lattitude d620 now--these keys are slightly raised and more sturdy and comfortable. feels easier to type. If I buy through Dell, is it possible to configure 1564 with a different keyboard? I even prefer the 1545 raised keyboard. It's more old school (bb guy said it would collect dust under keys more), but it's easier to use. Does anyone know if the insp15z has a keyboard with raised keys? Anyone else find the big flat keys harder to use? Is there some advantage to these, thus Dell made the change? I wasn't wild about the Sony chicklet style either. Lenova seemed easiest to me of the ones I tested in BB. Any input is most appreciated.

A few more questions: would you suggest 1564 or 15z. (i'm not a gamer-google, office, typing, download mp4s). for my needs, is there a big dif b/w core 2, i3, and i5?

    Thanks a million.

I'm pretty sure you can't get a different keyboard on the 1564, unless it's something like backlit vs not backlit or a language thing. I'm not quite sure exactly what you mean by "raised" keys, but I don't think the 15z keys are quite the same as the ones on the D620.

For general office and multimedia use, you really aren't going to notice the difference between C2D, Ci3, or Ci5; I'd just stick with the 15z. It'll be thinner, lighter, and probably have a longer battery life than any of the 1564s.

    Thanks,
Really appreciate the input. Sorry about my terminology - I'm new. I mean more like the traditional keyboards for desktops. Not flat and level. They stick up and have some depth. I'm going to see if I can find a 15z I can test locally and then zero in on the decision.
