I do have a Desktop (smartass!) LOL .
I actually think it all started after i downloaded the updates from Microsoft, I bumbed it about the same time the computer Rebooted from the install. Anyway the only way i could get it to work was to reboot to original config.
So much for the updates, Guess i'll have to be more particular on wich ones i download.
My niece did have a simular problem on her laptop, she was just sitting there and bumped her keyboard then she couldnt type because it quit working, But all she had to do was restart the system and it was fine.
Just for the record, Is there a key that locks the keyboard? -

if it happens when being bumped my first guess would be a bad/loose connecter, which would be an easy fix, rebooting or rolling back to a previous config would not fix that however, so I dont know

there is no key that locks the keyboard as far as i know. i dont know why windows updates would mess with the keyboard.. odd
