I have a Dell XPS M1330 which worked perfectly until 2 days ago. It is 5 months old. I was reviewing photos I had uploaded - using slideshow - the screen started 'disolving' into green and yellow lines. At first it was impossible to switch off! Attempts to switch on seemed to go Ok but the screen started breaking down again until it was a pattern of green with vertical darker lines - one wider in the middle of the screen.
Left overnight it started working normally again yesterday morning until it started again to disolve.
Today any attempts to startup are met with the green vertical line pattern.

Anybody any idea? - I am not a computer expert! This has me baffled.

    Thanks

    Laowai

probably a hardware failure...call Dell to see what they have to say about it...
since it's only 5 months old, i assume your dell support is still in effect?

(but I guess you'll have to go through a hell of time trying to reach dell....just be patient...dell has this reputation of horrid tech support...don't know about the XPS support...maybe better than the mainstream?)
