    Hi,

have a look at Dell's Vostro series. They are hidden in their "Small Business" section. And of course they have a matte display. (Perhaps not all, but the most).

Yup, you'll need to look into business laptops to be able to find a matte screen. You will have more choices if you didn't limit the screen size to 17", which is not as popular as other resolutions because it is so large. If you need the extra screen space, be sure to consider docking and an external LCD as an option when you aren't moving around.

I've been going through the same thing. The Vostro 3700 is about the least expensive thing you're likely to find right with a 17" matte screen right now. Other than that, you might try looking at what Lenovo has to offer, and don't forget to check the Outlet section.
