    laptop getting too much heated up

    i have a studio 1535 and the problem is that the whole area around the tochpad is getting so much heated that it is becoming difficult to work on it..i informed the dell people abt it and they changed the heatsink but after changing the heatsink also the problem remians the same..i measured the temp of my laptop's gpu hd 3450 while running game it reached 91c..and now i again told the dell people abt the gpu's temperature,it has been 3days now nd they haven't replied ..so plz anybody tell me what the actual problem is and what shld i do now so that my problem get solved...

    Sounds like your GPU is not making good contact with the heatsink. Is the thermal pad still intact?

    sorry i dont have much knowledge abt the thermad pad u are talking about..if u tell me how to see it is there or not then it might help the issue to get solved..

    Between the GPU and the heatsink, there should be a small rubbery square, called a thermal pad. If it's torn, broken, or missing, then heat is not being properly transferred from the GPU to the heatsink, and out of the vent.

    in normal working mode my acpi temp is 48c,core temp are 42 & 40,gpu is 57c and hdd is 41c.. are these temp ok in normal mode..but still the touchpad is hot.
    i will see the thermal pad is there or not as soon as i finish my work.

    Those temperatures look pretty reasonable for idle.
