    I got a dell 1720 with the SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC
    but I cant get it to work,does anyone know what needs to be done?The regular sound is working fine,thx in advance

    SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC is your sound card, if the normal sound is working fine, that means its working... I don't understand your problem.. :confused:

    when i looked into the sound hardware settings it doesnt show the SPDIF out as the default device and I cant set it up as default,Im sry I wasnt very specific w the question,thx in advance
