I haven't seen a Mini-9 in person, but at Fry's and BestBuy I've compared the HP Mini with the Asus and Acer machines. I couldn't effectively type on the Asus or Acer, but I can type pretty well on the HP. (I would be interested in XP, 1GB ram, min. 16GB hd.)

If you can't type well on the Asus or Asus, you probably won't fair much better on the Dell.

The HP's keyboard is best-in-class. Nothing else, really, comes even close.

I agree with mick4394. My girlfriend looked at the Dell Mini and the HP Mini (among others) and decided on the Mini. She had no problems typing on the Mini and she hated the HP trackpad buttons being on the left and the right. However, she stated that she felt the HP keyboard was far superior to any other netbook we tested.

One is a mini with a huge keyboard, though.
