    Hi,

I went on dells website and couldn't find the studio 14z drivers.

I heard the studio 14z supports multitouch. Also it has the same touchpad as my toshiba. Currently I'm using a dell driver for my touchpad.

But I would like multitouch, so I hope to find the studio 14z driver.

Or any other dell driver that supports multitouch and is for the alps touchpad.

    Thanks.

Hey I hate to be the guy that resurrects and old thread, but I tried that driver and I dont seem to have any option to get two finger scrolling. Am I missing any special instructions?

    You're right, I don't have it either.

    I don't know why.

Can anyone confirm that the studio 14z has multitouch?

It does not have it. You can scroll with one finger along the right side of the pad (up down) and the bottom (left right) as well as circular scrolling.

Frankly I find the page up/page down buttons along the side of the keyboard to be much quicker and more accurate.

Multitouch functions are for Synaptics pads, not Alps. However, there is a little app that you can run that may allow you to use two-finger scrolling if your hardware physically supports it, even if your drivers don't.

Hello Mastershroom, I downloaded the two-finger-scroll program and tried to run it but an error occured. The thumbnail below shows the error message. Any idea why? I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x86 with Toshiba touchpad driver. I tried it on my mum's Latitude D630 with Windows XP and standard Dell touchpad driver but the same error message appeared. Thanks.

Hmm. It might be because Alps pads just don't support multitouch at all. I used to use this app, but then again I have a Synaptics pad.

Have you tried other versions? The page has multiple listed.

I tried the two latest ones. Its a big transition for me to not have the multi touch@!
