    lost my task bar...what should i do?

    so my task bar (with the start button, etc.) hasn't been working for the past few days. no idea what caused this...anyone have an idea?

    btw i have windows xp SP 2

    First make sure its not hidden. Hold CTRL+ESC and see if the start menu pops up.

    ctrl+alt+delete

    end process "explorer.exe"

    start+run and then type "explorer.exe"

    see if that fixes your problem

    you probably draged it under. try to move your mouse right down to the bottom and slowly drag it up. if it changes to a double sided arrow thingy then click and drag it up.

    If you right click to open and can't see it, it's probably opening outside of the viewable desktop area - so just right click again and arrange it by tile windows horizontally/vertically and it should appear in your viewable space again.
